Card stock that handles like it should

The weight and finish of a card communicates quality before anyone reads a word. We print on 280-350gsm coated stock with four surface finishes, each matched to a different use case.

Linen finish improves grip, reduces clumping mid-shuffle, and resists wear. Soft-touch adds a velvet feel for premium gift decks. Gloss maximises color vibrancy. Matte reduces glare for photography-heavy tarot and oracle decks.

Offset printing – not digital inkjet

We print card decks on Heidelberg 4C/5C machines. The difference is visible: offset ink sits on the surface with a sharpness and density that digital inkjet cannot replicate at scale.

For a 52-card promotional deck or a 78-card tarot set, offset means every card in every deck looks identical – same color, same density, same registration. At 3,000 decks, the 3,000th is indistinguishable from the first.

Packaging built to the same standard as the cards

A card deck is only as good as the box it comes in. We manufacture tuck boxes, rigid magnetic closure gift boxes, two-piece lid-and-base boxes, and belly bands – all in the same factory run as the cards.

Tuck box tolerances are cut to 0.5mm. The deck should slide out with a satisfying resistance – not fall out, not require force. We verify this on every sample before approving production.

Any deck format – not just standard poker

We print every card format: standard poker (2.5×3.5 inch), bridge, tarot (2.75×4.75 inch), oracle (any custom size), mini decks, jumbo decks, and fully custom dimensions. Card count per deck is unrestricted – 20 cards or 120.

Questions we get asked a lot.

What’s the minimum order quantity?+

500 decks for most standard projects – promotional playing cards, tarot decks, oracle cards, and game sets. Physical pre-production samples (1-5 decks) are available before your full run begins so you can check color, finish, and packaging first.

What card stock weight do you recommend?+

300gsm is most popular for promotional and event decks – substantial without being rigid. For tarot, oracle, and luxury gift decks, 330-350gsm gives a more deliberate, weighty feel. We can supply stock weight samples before you commit to a spec.

What’s the difference between linen finish and soft-touch?+

Linen finish (air-cushion) embosses a fine texture onto the card surface – improves grip, gives a casino-feel shuffle, reduces clumping, resists fingerprints. Best for actively handled decks. Soft-touch (velvet) lamination is smooth and matte, feeling premium – popular for gift decks and collector editions where tactile impression matters more than shuffle performance.

Can you print tarot cards and oracle decks?+

Yes. We print standard 78-card tarot decks, custom-count oracle decks, affirmation card sets, and any format with custom card dimensions. Tarot size (2.75×4.75in) is a standard size for us. Card count per deck is unrestricted.

What packaging options are available?+

We offer tuck boxes (most common and cost-effective), rigid magnetic closure gift boxes (premium, retail-ready), two-piece lid-and-base boxes, belly bands, and custom sleeves. All packaging is manufactured in the same factory run as the cards. Packaging can include gold or silver foil stamping, embossing, spot UV, and any lamination finish.

Do you offer gold foil stamping on card decks?+

Yes – on card faces and on the tuck box or packaging. Hot gold foil stamping creates a raised, high-gloss metallic effect. Silver, holographic, and custom-colour foils are also available.

How long does card deck printing take?+

Physical samples are ready in 7-10 business days. Full production runs take 12-20 business days after proof approval. DDP ocean freight to the US East Coast adds approximately 18-25 days; air freight is available for urgent orders (5-7 days transit).

What file format do I need to provide?+

PDF is preferred – export as PDF/X-1a or PDF/X-4, CMYK color mode, 300dpi, 3mm bleed on all sides. We also accept AI and PSD. For every new project we send a custom card template showing exact dimensions, safe zone, and bleed guide. Our pre-press team checks every file manually at no charge.

How much does it cost to print custom card decks?+

Roughly $1.80-$2.80 per deck at 500-999 decks; $0.65-$1.10 at 3,000-9,999 decks; $0.35-$0.65 at 10,000+ decks. Variables: card count per deck, stock weight, finish, packaging type, and DDP destination. The only accurate number is a quote built from your actual spec – free within 24 hours.

Is FSC-certified card stock available?+

Yes. We are FSC Chain of Custody certified. FSC-certified card stock and packaging are available for all projects. We provide the certificate number and FSC on-product logo usage rights on request.
